(I do not know you very well. So I can only provide some general insights)
Protect your GPA (3.5 - 3.9). Work hard in class (85–96 percentile). Ace your SAT/ACT score above the middle 50% range (1810–2000/ 27–30). Focus on the quality of extracurricular activities. Write your personal statement genuinely and proofread it before you submit your application. Ask friends or families for advice on the essay. Find connections between you and the university. Try to see if there is a program that you really like and willing to devote your heart and soul for four years and beyond. There is no sure-fire formula which alone guarantees a place in UW-Madison.
